The Shared Service Center (SSC) was established on January 1st, 2007. On 1st April 2007, the SSC was spun off from the original Unipetrol Rafinérie, a.s., to form a separate limited liability company named UNIPETROL SERVICES, s.r.o. Its objective was to support other companies of the Unipetrol Group in selected areas, i.e. financial accounting and taxes, financial management, management of human resources, information technologies, purchases and HSE&Q. The establishment of the Center should result in an improved efficiency.
The Shared Service Center was created by transferring a part of the administrative and support activities from the following companies: Unipetrol, Chemopetrol, Unipetrol Doprava, Benzina and Unipetrol Trade. The head of the Shared Service Center was Ing. Karel Surma, who was the director of the SSC business unit in the March organizational structure. UNIPETROL SERVICES, LLC. was founded on April 1st, 2007, by detaching activities and employees from the Shared Service Center of Unipetrol Rafinérie Inc.
On March 20th, 2007, UNIPETROL, Inc. accepted the obligation to increase its contribution in Unipetrol Services in the form of financial deposit. In March 2007, the basic capital of Unipetrol Services was increased from the original amount of 200,000 CZK to 100,200,000 CZK.
